In Loving Memory of Mrs.Karyn Lombardo ❤️

Today, we honor Karyn Lombardo, our beloved kindergarten teacher and dear friend whose kindness, joy, and love for her students touched every corner of Bret Harte Elementary. Mrs.Lombardo worked at Bret Harte Elementary for 30 years. While here, she taught performing arts, intervention, and kindergarten.

Karyn Lombardo Tribute

Mrs. Lombardo brought light to Bret Harte every day with her warm smile and generous heart. She loved The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, a story she read to her students each year, and one that perfectly captures the way she gave so much of herself to those around her.

This special bench was painted by artists from Muralism and placed in front of her classroom as a tribute to her lasting legacy. It’s a place for the community to sit, read, and feel the love she shared so freely.

In honor of Mrs.Lombardo's legacy, the 5th grade class read The Giving Tree on her tribute bench at Volunteer Tea.

As part of our hive, Mrs. Lombardo showed us what it means to bee kindbee giving, and bee full of love.

She is deeply missed and always remembered. Karyn Lombardo will forever be part of Bret Harte Elementary.

Our Cereal Box Domino Challenge was a blast! 🥣

Our Cereal Box Domino Challenge was a total blast

cereal box challenge

Thanks to YOU, we collected over 200 boxes of cereal and created an epic domino trail right inside our school. Watching all those boxes fall in a perfect line was so amazing and the students' energy made it even better!

Even better than the domino fun? All of those cereal boxes were donated to the Burbank Temporary Aid Center to help families in need💙

Your Student Council thanks you for showing up, donating big, and making a difference. Bret Harte Bees really do have the sweetest hearts!
